Interview with Submotion and Tartaros about Q-BASE

‘Expect the best of both worlds’, Submotion and Tartaros are ready for Q-base

Submotion and Tartaros will play back2back at the Q-dance Radio area at Q-base. The artists of The Magic Show have big plans for their set, and we can expect ‘the best of both worlds’, including some brand new stuff.

You will play back2back at Q-base. In preparation for this set, the three of you spent some time in the studio together. Can we expect a new collab?
“We almost finished a brand new collab, especially for Q-BASE. The collaboration in the studio went super relaxed. From the start, we were able to combine both of our styles together. The first idea was immediately a success.”

What can you tell us about the atmosphere of the track?
“As you would expect, it is a track with a lot of energy and drive, but also with a very nice melody. We just combined the best of both worlds. It’s exactly what Submotion and Tartaros are about.”

Has the track been played anywhere yet, at a party or on a radio show?
“Not yet. We will play a teaser in the next radio show on Q-dance radio, so when we play the whole track for the first time at Q-BASE, people will be able to recognize the track.”

This will be the first time that Submotion and Tartaros will perform at Q-BASE, right?
“Well, Juul (Tartaros) performed last year with Moridin in the Hangar. But for Submotion and Tartaros, it will be the first time.”

What can we expect from this back2back set?
“We don’t know yet what we can expect, but in general we think there will be a lot of energy in our area, a crazy set where we will build up to some raw stuff at the end. We think it will be a complete chaos!”

Submotion, we haven’t heard a lot from you for a little while now. How come?
“That’s right. In the time you haven’t heard or seen us very much, we were busy in the studio with preparations for new tracks. Q-BASE will be the moment that we will make a statement with Submotion as artist.”

You mean like a new start?
“We played at several events this summer. But we saved our new music for Q-BASE to put us on the right track. We have been busy “upgrading” Submotion, as you will see very soon with our brand new graphics and the restart of our ‘Life in Motion’ episodes.”

Tartaros, you are in a flow right now. How do you see your career right now?
“My tracks have gained a lot of support lately. Bigger artists are playing my tracks now and that’s what I needed a few months ago. ‘Bustin’ Jieber’ is especially popular right now, this track is played at every single event! Hopefully I will be booked for more big events in the future, like Q-BASE for example.”

So I think we can safely say that Q-BASE is an important event for all of you.
“Yes, for sure. Q-BASE is one of the most epic events of the year in our opinion. It’s an honour when you get the opportunity to perform there. Can’t wait to see you all there. Don’t forget to check out our set to be the first to hear our new collaboration and a whole load of other new tunes”
